LEADING DC-REGION IT FIRM – THE MYTA CORPORATION - ANNOUNCES RECORD GROWTH, HITS 15 MONTH SALES HIGHS

Strong Numbers Indicate Area Companies Looking to Consultants

Rockville, MD, March 7, 2002 - Signaling growth in the D.C. region’s economy, The MYTA Corporation hit record high numbers for sales in January 2002.  As one of the region’s premier IT consulting firms, MYTA Corporation attributes satisfied clients and a rebounding economy as key factors in the firms’ growth.

“As the economy starts to recover and workloads increase, companies are looking to find talented professionals to build their teams without having to commit to hiring full-time employees,” says Mark Rothman, MYTA founder and CEO.  “During this transitional period when companies are reluctant to hire, consulting firms can help companies find qualified, reliable professionals to help boost their staffs, creating a win-win situation for area employers and prospective employees.”

In January, MYTA had its 4th best month in its 10-year history and its best month since October 2000.  New sales were 80 percent above sales for January 2001 and 145 percent over December 2001.  Total headcount for the company increased eight percent over December 2000.

“We’ve grown exponentially since our inception 10 years ago, but like many area companies, the events over the last year have made growth harder to predict,” says Rothman.  “We are pleased to see our numbers continue to rise.”

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14,1998

THE MYTA CORPORATION NAMED ONE OF THIS YEAR'S FASTEST-GROWING COMPANIES BY INC. MAGAZINE

Rockville, MD, October 14, 1998 - The MYTA Corporation, based in Rockville, has been named one of the fastest growing companies in the country by Inc. magazine, which today released its annual ranking of the Inc. 500, the comprehensive guide to America's fastest-growing private companies.

The Inc. 500, profiled in a special mid-October issue of the magazine, is an exclusive report on the companies and CEOs who are changing the face of American business. Noteworthy alumni include such household corporate names as Microsoft, Timberland, Dominos Pizza, and Patagonia.

Rockville-based MYTA, a premier consulting firm specializing in all phases of software development across multiple platforms, is the #500 company on the list. When asked to comment, president and founder of MYTA Mark Rothman mused "We're lucky it wasn't the Inc. 499". He went on to say that "MYTA is proud of this great accomplishment, and to be included in this elite group of businesses is truly an honor."

California tops the Inc. 500 with 83 companies on the fist; Texas is second with 44 firms. Replacing Virginia as the East Coast leader is Massachusetts, which boasts 31 companies - up from 28 in 1997. Rounding out the top five on the 1998 list are Virginia (26), New York (24); Florida and Illinois tie for fifth with 22 companies each. Firms on this year's list had a banner year by any measure generating, in total, more than $12 billion in sales - a staggering 33.3% increase over last year's Inc. 500 figures ($9 billion) - with a record 14 companies breaking the $100 million sales barrier. This year's companies generated 18% more jobs (71,464 in total) than the 1997 Inc. 500 group did. Computers and business services are the most heavily represented industries on the 1998 Inc. 500 (57% of all companies), followed by consumer goods and services (12%), telecommunications (7%) and construction (6%).

This year marks the 17th year that Inc. has charted the progress of America's most innovative and successful entrepreneurs. To be eligible for the Inc. 500, companies have to be independent and privately held through 1997, and must demonstrate a sales increase from fiscal year 1996 to 1997. Holding companies and regulated banks and utilities are not eligible. Inc. verified all information using tax forms and financial statements from certified public accountants, and by conducting interviews with company officials.

Inc. is the only magazine written for the men and women who own and manage small- to mid-sized fast-growing companies. Published 18 times per year, Inc. helps its 2.2 million readers by providing expert advice and practical solutions as they face the opportunities, pitfalls, and rewards of growing a company, from startup to fully-managed enterprise. Inc. Online (www.inc.com), the Web site for growing companies, was named Best Online Magazine by Folio in 1997 and Best Overall New Publication (all media) by the Computer Press Association.

MYTA GROWS IN RESPONSE TO IT SHORTAGE

STAFFING FIRM TOPS 100 CONTRACTORS: 6- YEAR GROWTH AVERAGES OVER 100 PERCENT PER YEAR

Rockville, MD, May 11, 1998 - The MYTA Corporation, an Information Technology staffing agency, announces reaching 100 current full-time active contractors and averaging a corporate growth rate of over 100 percent per year during the last six years. MYTA specializes in providing hourly contractors to major corporations for all aspects of the software development life cycle. With a five-year growth rate comparable to that of corporations named to the Inc. 500 in recent years, MYTA is one of the fastest growing privately-held. companies in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

MYTA's growth has been fueled by the Washington area's continued demand for IT professionals. The DC region, like much of the rest of the country, is facing a shortage of experienced IT workers for both long-term and short-term projects. According to Information Week, the Information Technology Association of America reported a shortfall of approximately 190,000 IT jobs in large corporations last year. By all accounts, the figures for this year will be even higher. MYTA is helping combat this shortage at corporations such as MCI, Sprint, Lockheed Martin, Cable &Wireless, The World Bank, Arthur Andersen, Freddie Mac, and others in nearly all major industries. Mark Rothman, founder and president of The MYTA Corporation, said that his clients come to him because of MYTA's personalized attention and high caliber of contractors.

"When it comes to IT jobs, corporations know that it is very difficult to find experienced people," said Rothman. "The companies we deal with are very good at what they do, be it insurance, telecommunications, finance or some other industry, but they do not necessarily specialize in the recruitment of software developers. With the competition for qualified IT personnel as fierce as it is, it takes dedicated resources and a strong focus to find the best people. Because of this, many corporations are turning to staffing agencies like MYTA to fill their needs."

One current client, The American Type Culture Collection (ATCC), is the largest collector and distributor of' microbiological and cellular organisms for scientific research. ATCC relies on MYTA for building and disseminating databases and converting files and software systems. "MYTA understands our requirements and what we want," said Lois Blaine, director of bioinformatics at ATCC. "They are oriented to provide not just bodies, but qualified professionals with the right skills and attitudes. MYTA is very responsive to our needs."

Another client, National Electronics Warranties Company (NEWC), supplies third-party service contracts that extend past manufacturers' warranties for companies such as Best Buy, American Express and Visa. NEWC turned to MYTA to fill several staff shortages including personnel to migrate their system from an AS/400 environment to a more modern UNIX based system.

"We needed to find staff for our data warehouse manager. We had the head, but not the arms and legs needed. MYTA was able to develop a three person team within two weeks," said Steve Machlis, vice president of IT for NEWC. MYTA provided NEWC with a contract UNIX systems administrator until a permanent employee could be found. "We are a relatively small company," said Machlis. "and we could not readily attract the type of person we needed. MYTA found us a qualified temporary administrator, which gave us the time to do a thorough search and hire the right permanent employee for the job."

Rothman, a former software developer, founded The MYTA Corporation in 1992 after realizing the demand for IT professionals in the Washington area. MYTA started modestly with a single computer and fax machine in the second bedroom of Rothman's Rockville home. After recently completing its third move in six years, MYTA currently resides in a 4,000 square-foot office suite supporting 15 internal staff members. MYTA anticipates continuing this growth and projects having 140 contractors at client sites by the end of 1998.
